What's the difference between your audio library and your episode builder?

Your audio library and your episode builder are two important features of your Anchor account. Though they serve different functions, they are both vital in helping you to create amazing content for your podcast. If you're having trouble distinguishing between the two, don't worry, we're here to help you get familiar with them so you can continue to make great episodes!

Audio Library

Your audio library is where you will find any audio you record directly onto Anchor (normal recording or using Record with Friends) or any audio that you previously recorded outside of Anchor and have imported into your account. Your library will hold all your audio unless you choose to delete audio from your library. Please note: any audio you delete from your library that has been placed in an episode will be removed from that episode.

Where to find your audio library:

On the web:

  • Log into your Anchor account on the web
  • Click "New Episode" on the top right of your screen

Episode Builder

Your episode builder is the place where you can create your episodes to be published. This is where you will drag your audio segments (from your audio library) to build your perfect episode. Depending on what device you are using, from your episode builder you can rearrange and rename your segments, download your audio, edit your audio, and add sponsored segments here (if you are US based).

Where to find your episode builder:

On the web:

  • Log into your Anchor account on the web
  • Click "New Episode" on the top right of your screen
