How can I get access to the Subscriptions feature?
Podcast Subscriptions is currently available to creators and listeners in: USA, Canada, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and Singapore.
Can I set up and manage Podcast Subscriptions using the Anchor mobile app?
Currently, this feature is only available on Anchor’s web tool. We will communicate with creators via email if/when the functionality is available on mobile.
Can I make my M+T episode Subscription only?
We are currently not supporting subscriptions for episodes with Spotify music.
Can I change the price of my subscription offering after I set it?
As price changes need to be handled with care to not upset your fanbase, this functionality will not be possible during the initial period of this feature. We’ve added more pricing tier options to create more flexibility for creators. We anticipate this functionality being available in the future.
Can I also have Listener Support enabled?
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to enable Listener Support while offering subscriber-only episodes.
I want to listen to a podcast that is behind a subscription. How do I sign up?
You can subscribe to a podcast directly from the podcast's Anchor profile page. Click the button that says subscribe from either your desktop or your mobile app. Further instructions can be found here.
Can I subscribe to a podcast if I’m outside of the U.S.?
Listeners can subscribe in the following countries: USA, Canada, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and Singapore.
I tried signing up for a podcast with a subscription but my payment failed. What should I do?
Try using another payment method. Also, double-check you are in our list of supported countries for listeners/subscribers.
My credit card information changed. How do I update my credit card information on file?
At this time, it is not possible to change your payment information. If you need to change the card information for your subscription you will need to cancel the subscription altogether, and then sign up again using the new card.
I no longer want to pay for content. How do I cancel my subscription?
To cancel your subscription, check your email for the confirmation email you received upon subscription to to the podcast. In that email, you will see a link for cancellation. Click that link and you'll be able to cancel your subscription.
What do I do with the private RSS link?
Your private RSS link can be added in external platforms that support it. In Apple Podcasts, you can select ‘Library’ > ‘Edit’ > ‘Add a Show by URL’ and paste the URL. You can also find instructions for Google Podcasts and Overcast.
