How to Upload a Video Episode on Anchor

  1. To upload a video episode, you will need to click the "New Episode" button on Anchor to find a new option now there:
  2. Click "Quick upload", which will launch a file picker for you to select your preferred file.
    1. We accept .MOV or .MP4 video files.
    2. Note: you cannot upload video using the "Create an episode" option.
  3. Once a file is selected, you'll be taken to the "Episode options" screen.
  4. The file will need to go through uploading first, and then finish processing. This can take some time, depending on how long the video file is that you've chosen.

  5. In the meantime, you will need to add a title and description, and fill in any other metadata you may want!
  6. Once processing is complete, you can publish your new episode right away, save it as a draft, or schedule a publishing date in the future.
      1. Note: scheduling an episode will also start transcoding.
  7. You'll also be able to preview your video episode to make sure it plays, has audio, etc.!Screen_Shot_2022-11-17_at_4.01.28_PM.png
  8. Once you do publish, your episode will begin transcoding on Spotify (a term that just means your video is processing within Spotify).
  9. You will receive a notification in Anchor to let you know the process has started, and then another notification once your episode is fully transcoded.
  10. That's it! Once it's fully transcoded, you're live on Spotify!
